Welcome to The Retreat CC

The Retreat is a registered charity and specialist mental healthcare provider founded in 1796 based in Heslington in York.

The Retreat's cricket team started in 1889 with a cricket field and pavilion being located in The Retreat's extensive grounds.The original pavilion is still in use for matches today.

The team is made up of current and ex-staff members as well as a number of local league cricketers by invitation. Historically the team has played friendly fixtures against a variety of local clubs and organisations. In 2008 the club entered a league for the first time joining the Foss Evening League.Since 2007 the team has also played in the York Junior Charity Cup.
